Time will Remember
Alluring studious runaway princess
Princess Kalos, so the rumor said in the streets of Incus, was a prince. No one knew her as “Princess Kalos” & no one saw her.
Kalos is a beautiful woman, human appearing, with long black hair & supple toffee skin, with eyes like the ocean at sunrise.
Romen saw her when coming up from the tharais tunnels & finding himself eventually in a bathing room. She was beautiful but shocked to be found bathing, & screamed, & Romen ran.
Later, when Romen returned from another direction, when he was about to be dragged away by her guards, she lifted a hand to the air & the guards & Romen froze, guards passing out, Romen remaining dizzy but following her commands. She pressed an icy heat into his cheek with her palm, & branded him magically. Telling him to climb back into the tharais tunnels, she called after him “Now I will recognize you!”.
Later, during the escape from the Palace of Incus, Kalos aided by meeting them at the condors, ensuring they would fly.
With Nethys’s dead body, & the rest injured (Bem, Romen, Lostris), Kalos helped to soothe their wounds & suffering as they camped & rested.
Later, in a battle with panthers outside Taita’s camp in the jungles, Kalos talked one of the horse sized panthers down with a glance, turning its behavior into that of a playful housecat.
When Romen noticed a jade spire rising above the jungle, the group descended, investigating. It was Kalos that wagered it was most likely the Ruins of Kho.
It was Kalos who had much knowledge of history & languages, & informed them of the Ancient Azlant, the meanings of certain glyphs, & the stories told on the walls, even if just in the art. Ascending to the 4th level of the immense structure, Kalos spun the pink metal near the window to affect the gold disks in the room. When the harp music was heard above them, & the group went up the ladder to the fifth level & met Alopexin, the harp-playing beauty demanded Kalos stay, for she is of the blood of the seapeoples, & Alopexin had much to tell her.
The group left her behind – told to leave by Alopexin as she knew they were agents of Lambanein – & the princess’s black condor with white leather saddle (& Nethys’s corpse) remained behind as well.
